What to look for in a good wall mounting bracket
- Steel gauge and welds. Check whether the arms are solid cold-rolled steel with visible welds at the joints, versus folded sheet metal that flexes when you push on the display end.
- Weight and VESA rating. A real bracket lists both a maximum pound rating and the exact VESA hole pattern it fits, not just a vague 'fits most TVs' claim.
- Included hardware. Look for lag bolts rated for stud mounting and washers included in the box, since a knockoff often ships with drywall screws that will pull straight out under load.
