Motorcycle helmets from US brands and US-based sellers

8 US brands and sellers surfaced here at $60.00 to $259.95, each verified from Amazon's own published seller info. Last verified September 13, 2026.

A motorcycle helmet lives or dies on its shell material, its foam liner, and the hardware that keeps it on your head in a crash. The cheap versions fake the safety sticker, thin out the foam, and swap steel rivets for glued plastic, all so they can sell you a $30 helmet that looks like a $150 one in a photo.

What to look for in a good motorcycle helmet

  • Certification sticker. Look for a DOT sticker with a legible manufacturer code inside the shell, or an ECE 22.05/22.06 label with a real approval number, not just a printed logo stuck to the foam.
  • Shell construction. Pick it up and knock on it. Fiberglass, carbon, or polycarbonate blends have some heft and a dull thud, while a thin single-shot ABS shell feels light and sounds hollow, a sign it's one layer of plastic over foam.
  • Liner density. Press a finger into the inner padding near the temple. Multi-density EPS foam resists a little and springs back slowly, while cheap single-density foam either crushes flat or barely gives at all.
  • Retention hardware. Check the chin strap where it meets the shell. A proper D-ring or ratchet closure is riveted or bolted through the shell, not just glued or stitched to the liner fabric.
